A Good Charger for Canon Batteries

This charger certainly gets a lot of things right -- it has a large list of compatible batteries for both camcorders and still cameras, and it's great to have the option to charge from the car with the 12V DC car adapter. The price is great, too.
The information in the product description is a bit light on details, so I'll do my best to fill in the missing stuff.
First of all, the charger uses a battery plate system for compatibility: the charger comes with a number of plates that connect to the charger itself, each plate corresponding to a number of Canon batteries. So you may attach one plate to charge one type of battery, but another plate for a different type of battery. People with only one battery can just attach the necessary plate and leave it there for good. But if you have multiple cameras/camcorders with different battery types, you may need to switch plates. They just click on, so it's not difficult to do.
Once you have the correct plate on, you just slide the battery into that plate and the charging starts. An LED on the charger glows red while charging, and turns green when charging is complete.

Check your camera's instruction manual to determine your battery type if you don't know it. Also note that in some cases, minor revisions may be acceptable (for example, the BP-511A is the same size and uses the same contacts as the BP-511, and as such will work with this charger).
2 notable omissions here (possibly due to the relatively recent release of these new batteries) are the LP-E5 and LP-E6 batteries that power the EOS Digital XSi/450D and the EOS 5D Mark II, respectively. You'll need a different charger if you own one of these cameras.
The charger's build quality is about right for a charger in this price range. There's nothing wrong with the build necessarily, but I wouldn't want to subject it to any excessive forces. It's all plastic, and could break. But it's nothing to worry about under normal use.
This thing stopped working after a few uses

It plugs straight into the wall, but the build quality is so poor that after using it once or twice, it doesn't actually get the electricity to the battery anymore. The only way it appears to work now is if it's connected to the car charger that's included. So I'm pretty unhappy with this purchase.
