This is perfect for the Canon SD1000. It's got quite a magnet to hold it shut and we found that the "belt loop" is a good place to store the extra battery if you don't wear a belt and just put this in your pocket.

I found this case to be perfect. It has a very solid, high quality feel to it. It is made to fit the tiny Canon SD 1000 and it does this very well. No, it doesn't allow for additional storage of a extra battery but that's part of the attractiveness of this slim case. I use to have a case that enabled me to carry an extra battery but it was so big that it felt like I was carrying a duffle bag around my waste. I'm very pleased with this product.

I bought this case because I wanted a way to protect the camera and still allow it fit in my pocket. This works great! The magnetic clasp is very nice. All in all an excellent case with one caveat, it doesn't allow storage of extra memory cards or batteries.

I bought this case for my Canon PowerShot SD770IS 10MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Black) and I'm very pleased with it. I would agree with other reviewers that it's not quite the color the pictures on amazon show. I kind of think of it as a Raspberry. I appreciate the construction being a little sturdier than a soft case, and the magnetic closure is a nice feature. My last case had a velcro closure, and the noise of it drove me crazy.
Also, contrary to what some others have found, I *can* fit an extra SD card in this case. I just slide one of my SD card's cases through the belt loop on the back. It holds it pretty snug-ly in place. Being a woman, I typically just toss the case in my purse so if the SD wiggles out it's not a big deal, but usually keeps everything together nicely. I could see how the little bit of additional size would frustrate a man wanting to keep their Elph in their pocket, but since I keep mine in my purse, it doesn't bother me at all, and the sturdiness of the case keeps the camera safe against whatever else might be in there.
The only initial drawback for me was the size of the wrist strap hole. but with a little use, the leather has stretched a little and is working fine.

This very well constructed and handsome case fits the camera like a glove and is not bulky at all. It has a soft lining that does not scratch the camera and its magnetic closer keeps the camera securely inside. Those hoping for a rich deep burgundy (as pictured) should understand that the color is more mauve or eggplant. It is very stylish and fits the high-end, tailored design of the camera very well.
