Great for new photog's!

These lenses came quickly, even to Alaska! The pouch is quite handy, and lenses are easy to attach. Came with a cleaning cloth that can also be slid into the pouch.
I had to try them out immediately and was amazed at how defined the smaller objects became when shooting. For newer photographers, there is nothing simpler!
The 10x produces great results for flowers and insects. If you are new to this hobby, just remember this; digital zoom is BAD, and light is GOOD! Manually adjust your
camera, and always make sure you have plenty of light. Pictures become fuzzy or 'dusty' when there is a lack of light because your digital camera is trying to fill in the
missing information, automatically. You can always find handy shooting tips online from the pro's for more info. 47th Street has great deals on portable lights & back-
grounds that I would gladly from them. The service & turn around time are perfect!

I purchased this close-up set for an advanced point & shoot Sony DSC-H50 and am pleased with the performance. Opteka has been around for a long time and produce good quality products. These lenses are tricky to use and you should expect to play with them a bit before you understand what they can do and how to use them.

Opteka Set

The package came in a timely manner. The set, however, was disappointing. I wish it came with a manual. I am new to macro photography so it was a little confusing for me to use. I thought it best to just experiment, but no matter what I did with aperture and ISO in manual mode, the resulting images were blurry and of poor quality. There was also vignetting, which could only be rid of by zooming, but zooming made the picture more blurry. This set was not that expensive, I bought it for $30-40, but I don't think it was worth the money I spent on it.
