My initial review of this product was harsh. The product did not meet my expectations for acceptable construction of a case. The case construction has since been improved. The improvement is significant. The inside of the case has more foam padding to protect the camera (which is good for someone like me that drops things). The size is right for the camera and a memory card. Having the carabiner is helpful when you want to keep your handsfree.

When I first received this case it was a bit too small, however PC Micro store went way out of the way to make it right!!!!! PC Micro Store is positively the BEST website I ever bought any product from!!!! They resolved the problem and even telephoned me twice to make sure I was satisfied...I rate them AAAAA++++++

The case does its job and has strong zippers and it is nearly crushproof. If you drop your camera, it will surely be protected! I comes with a neat belt loop quick release clip as well!

I bought this case back to back with the purchase of my Nikon Coolpix S8000. While it shipped separately from the camera, it was well worth the wait. For years, I've been more of a traditionalist with my cameras, much preferring a bulking digital camera that hangs around my neck and makes me look like a tourist. I like the feel of a nice sized digital cam in my hands rather than the matchbox digital cams that have been on the market these days. But the 10x zoom and some other options sold me on the S8000, plus I wanted a high end pocket sized cam for a vacation trip.
Like I said, I bought the case at the same time as the camera. It has dual zippers and is a nice rubber shell which would definitely protect it if I dropped it. The cam fits snug inside with a velcro strap for protection. There's one mesh pocket on the opposite size perfect for a few memory cards. The case also came with a carabineer clip which doesn't really fit the snap clip on the side so it's pretty useless. Also, although it was of no interest to me, the Live Green band bracelet did not come with the case either.
Great price! And a good investment for this camera.
